To make a real statement you can match your shutter to over 2000 shades from the Dulux Trade and Farrow & Ball ranges of paints. Should you desire a colour to perfectly match your interior then Acorn Shutters can offer a custom colour match service. We can also mix & match colours in a shutter set. If you chose to alternate two different colours to really personalise the appearance then this would be possible.
Nothing rivals the natural beauty of wood. Our carefully selected range of natural stains and oils complements the growing trend for wooden flooring and furnishings ensuring that your shutters will blend into even the most traditional of surroundings.
We also now offer and anti-bacterial coating across our S:Craft range of shutters, making our products even more suitable for hospital, care homes, surgery and nursery installations. This BS6250 certified wood lacquer kills most species of bacteria, including MRSA, Salmonella and E. coli and it goes on killing them for up to 10 years.
The Acorn Shutters paint and stain selection is synonymous with style, elegance and sophistication. Our products are given 6 coats of paint or stain to give a tough, lustrous finish and to help prevent fading the final layer is UV protected.
LOUVRE OPTIONS
The size of the louvre is a very important decision to make as it determines the amount of light that will flow through the shutter; as well as making a difference to the visual aspect of your shutters. Acorn Shutters offer a selection of 8 louvres sizes/designs. 5 standard shaped louvres widths, 2 flat louvres sizes and S shaped louvre for additional light blocking.
FRAME DESIGNS
We offer a large variety of frame designs which can be used accordingly to best suit the window surroundings.
TILT RODS
The louvre tilt rod that controls the position of the slats can be mounted centrally on each panel, offset or even hidden. The new silent tilt rod mechanism is completely hidden within the panel stile, providing the ultimate in contemporary styling.
HARDWARE
Either match or contrast hinges to your colour choice. Our self-mortise hinges are available in 7 colours – silk white, pearl, bisque, antique brass, bright brass, black and stainless steel. All we recommend is that our marine grade stainless steel hinges are used in wet environments. We will of course assist you in deciding which options are going to work best for you and your home, so you know exactly how your finished shutters are going to look and work.
